Edgar Harrell, CPL, USMC, USS Indianapolis Survivor. Harrell was one of four survivors interviewed for this podcast. One of Harrell's jobs on board the Indianapolis was to assign Marine guards to watch over the 12' x 8' container that carried key components of the atomic bomb, known as "Little Boy." Harrell is the author of a book that shares his story aboard the USS Indianapolis and as a survivor. The book is titled "Out of the Depths: A Survivor's Story of the Sinking of the USS Indianapolis."
